For a long time I lived life at two pitches: wonderful and terrible. And I thought it might be better to let things balance out and always just be ok, rather than ever face them being terrible again. Now I realize that the obvious answer is to just make sure it is always wonderful.

I’m not sure much hurts worse than realizing how little some people think of you based on your mistakes. I thought we all made them? I thought it was good to try and do better for yourself. And I thought friends were there to believe in you. I want those of you who didn’t stop loving me to know I’ll always want to know you, no matter where I go.
